Does anyone know what BOG and EAG specifically refer to? I’m mainly interested in the Chinese translations and full English spellings of these two abbreviations. I understand the general meaning of these two words; I just want a more authoritative source, preferably with an indication of where it comes from. Used by organizations to compile technical regulations. I hope some experts can offer their guidance; thank you very much! Thank you!

This is my current understanding; there is no source for it: The gas released from the EAG – namely, the safety valve for LNG escape air gas – is at low temperature, has a high density, and poses a high level of danger. So, add an EAG heater (air-to-air regenerator) at the outlet before evacuating.

BOG is evaporated gas; it is a gas that can be recycled, and generally refers to NG that can be used for pressurization or purging during operations such as unloading and tank transfer at LNG stations. EAG is a vent gas; it is a gas that cannot be recycled, and generally represents the natural gas that is vented due to overpressure in various pressure pipelines and containers at LNG stations.
If the pressure in the gas phase space of the LNG tank is excessively high, the excess evaporated gas in the tank will be discharged into the venting system through automatic vent valves or safety relief valves; When liquid stratification in the storage tank due to temperature or density differences creates vortices, a large amount of abnormally evaporated gas will also be released to relieve pressure. To prevent the accumulation of low-temperature gaseous natural gas released by the safety valve from forming an explosive mixture, an air-temperature type safety vent gas heater is proposed to be installed; the vent gas passes through this heater first to be heated until its density becomes lower than that of air, after which it is released into the atmosphere. The temperature of the gas entering the heater is set at -145°C, while the temperature of the gas exiting the heater is set at -15°C.
That’s not accurate~ In low-temperature production, storage, or receiving vaporization facilities, BOG refers to gases that evaporate at low temperatures, while EAG refers to gases that are released into the atmosphere. The former can generally be recovered and reused within controlled limits, whereas the latter also contains some evaporated gases when released into the air.
BOG: Boil off gas is commonly referred to as flash vapor. Flash vapor is a product of the gasification of LNG; it usually has a very low temperature over a certain period of time, and can cause frostbite to humans. Natural gas, on the other hand, is a gas at room temperature. EAG: The gas emitted from the safety valve of the Escape air gas LNG is at low temperature, has a high density, and is highly dangerous. So, add an EAG heater (air-to-air regenerator) at the outlet before evacuating.
