What is the MAPD of the acetylene hydrogenation section during depropanization?

This post was last edited by qugd on 2011-3-13 18:36. MA = methylacetylene, also known as propyne or methyl ethynene, with the formula CH3-C≡CH. PD = propadiene, also known as propylene, with the formula CH2=C=CH2. These are two substances that arise during the cracking of ethylene; they tend to polymerize on their own and can explode when mixed with air. During the C3 separation process, selective catalytic hydrogenation is generally used to convert it into propylene.
