Our factory’s technical upgrade requires the installation of a shut-off valve in front of the inlet valve of the hot oil pump; we would appreciate feedback from colleagues
Why install a shut-off valve? Increased inlet resistance can easily lead to cavitation. If the inlet valve doesn’t close properly, replace it with a high-quality one. I don’t understand!
It is very necessary to be able to urgently cut off the high-temperature hot oil in case of severe leakage from the mechanical seal.
Your safety technology management is more accurate and thorough than ours; congratulations to you! You live safer!
It is a good safety measure – an emergency shut-off valve. If high-temperature oil leaks, it may catch fire on its own; the shut-off valve allows for such situations to be prevented, and large pipelines usually use pneumatic or electric valves.
Emergency cut-off valves are still very necessary
Here, we have installed electric valves at the inlet of the hot oil pump to ensure safety in case of an accident; for example, if the hot oil pump catches fire, people cannot get too close to it
A cut-off valve must be able to be opened or closed quickly in order to fulfill its function
The regulations require that emergency shut-off valves be installed in front of pumps that can catch fire upon leakage, in order to prevent the spread of fire incidents
