What are the causes, symptoms, and solutions for wind tunnels, channeling, and uneven burning in the operating conditions of a gasification furnace?
:Victory: Current manufacturer of Luchi furnaces: Tianji Group; Luan coal-based oil ; Yima, Henan ; Henan Xinlianxin ; Harbin Gasification Plant and others ; :Manufacturer currently preparing to use Lurgi reactors: Guodian Chifeng ; Dada Tangkeqi ; Dada Tang Fuxin ; Xinjiang Guanghui ; Xinjiang Qinghua, etc.
Generally, it is due to fluctuations in the gasifying agent, changes in coal quality, or uneven rotation speeds of the furnace grates. This is typically manifested as significant fluctuations in outlet temperature, pressure, and composition. The solution is to first analyze the cause, and then take appropriate measures accordingly
What are the phenomena of channeling in a gasifier? (1) Significant fluctuations in furnace exit temperature CT029 ; (2) High and unstable CO2 content; (3) In severe cases, the raw gas contains oxygen and the gas flow rate fluctuates greatly ; (4) Increased steam generation in the jacket and increased boiler feedwater consumption ; (5) Both the gray lock temperature and the furnace outlet temperature increase simultaneously ; (6) There are large slag pieces and unburned coal in the ash. Reasons: internal leakage in the jacket, uneven gas distribution, excessively high temperature in the combustion zone, uneven quality of coal particles, careless operation by staff, too slow rotation of the grate, resulting in slow downward movement of the bed layer, etc.
After reviewing everyone’s opinions, I’d like to share my personal views; please point out any mistakes if there are any: Phenomenon 1: Significant fluctuations in the temperature at the crude gas outlet; 2. Frequent fluctuations in the temperature of the gasifying agent ; 3. Increased water consumption in the jacket ; 4. The ash contains a large amount of residual carbon, and there is a significant variation in the particle size of the ash; large lumps of ash and fine ash predominate ; 5. High CO2 in the sample analysis ; 6. The coal lock temperature and the gasifier top temperature may be either both high or both low ; 7. Large fluctuations in the grate current, with increased grate pressure ; 8. The gas production volume of the gasification furnace is unstable, with large and frequent fluctuations ; 9. The temperature of the gray lock fluctuates greatly; it either fails to rise for a long time or fails to drop for a long time ; 10. The pressure in the gasification furnace fluctuates frequently, and the pressure difference between the jacket and the gasification furnace increases ; Reason: Excessive leakage from the jacket ; The coal particles have uneven sizes, there is an excessive amount of fine coal, and the quality of the coal changes greatly and frequently ; The moisture content in the coal is too high; the coal is too wet, and adjustments to operating conditions are not made in a timely manner ; The grate has not rotated for a long time; the coal feeding frequency and the grate speed do not match the load of the gasifier ; The steam-to-oxygen ratio is not adjusted in a timely manner. Solutions: 1. Disconnect the gasification furnace from the main controller, ensuring one person operates one furnace with one display screen. 2. Reduce the load on the gasification furnace to its minimum level. 3. Improve the quality of the analysis samples and ash samples; if the analysis results show excessive levels, stop the operation immediately. 4. Enhance the forward and reverse rotation of the grate, using high torque when necessary. 5. Adjust the steam-to-oxygen ratio in a timely manner. 6. Handle each situation individually; safety in production must come first. The above are my personal views based on several years of experience in this field; I hope those with more expertise can point out any mistakes or omissions
Ili Xintian Coal Chemical also plans to use Lurgi reactors.
Henan Xinlianxin definitely isn’t using Lurgi furnaces, haha!
