In some tar containers, the liquid level is too high, causing ammonia to overflow; In some tar boxes, the liquid level is too low, causing raw gas to escape. What are the reasons for this, and how can it be solved?
It is essential to maintain stable pressure in the gas collection pipe and suction pressure before initial cooling. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the amount of circulating ammonia water is stable and whether there are any blockages in the suction pipes.
During normal operation, there should be no leakage of raw gas or ammonia from the tar box. If ammonia keeps leaking, it may be due to a low negative pressure in the gas pipeline behind the tar box, which draws in large amounts of coal dust and causes it to accumulate at the bottom of the suction pipe; or it could be because the space above the coke oven is too large and the temperature there is too high, resulting in the decomposition of the raw gas – with the heavier components in the tar-ammonia mixture accumulating at the bottom of the suction pipe
Reasons for ammonia spill: 1. Blockage in the connection pipe between the tar box and the gas collection pipe; 2. Blockage in the negative pressure pipeline. Reasons for the escape of waste gas: 1. Abnormal ammonia solution pressure; 2. Blockage in the ammonia solution branch pipe; 3. Corrosion and leakage in the equipment
A steam pipe can be added to the tar box to stir up the impurities inside and prevent sedimentation. It is important to control the amount of coal loaded as well as the temperature in the furnace roof area; it’s not advisable to load insufficient amounts of coal, as this will result in less coal powder and graphite being present. If the tar box gets blocked one day, that could cause quite a problem. Furthermore, the suction force of the gas collection pipe is well controlled, and a system for cleaning the \"three pipes and one box\" has been established and strictly implemented.
The main reason is the blockage of the tar box, and the causes of this blockage are primarily high coal fineness, strong fan suction, low ammonia water temperature, and inadequate regular cleaning.
