Is it necessary to test the soft feet of the motor before aligning the coupling? How should it be tested and how should it be corrected if there is a problem?
I think soft feet should be checked and dealt with. It would be much more convenient if you have a laser alignment tool. Another way is to insert a ruler on the motor foot. What do you think?
Of course, first use a feeler gauge to check the four feet, fill in any gaps first, and then use a watch to find the correct position.
After the alignment is qualified and the feet are tightened, use a feeler gauge to measure the gaps between all motor feet and the motor base plate. Pay attention to check whether there are any inclined "soft feet". If not, measure the vibration value of the motor during trial operation to see if it is qualified.
Soft feet should be measured. We usually tighten the foot first, then use a curved meter frame to place it next to the bolt where the motor foot is, loosen the bolt and see how much. Then tighten it up. Check out the others.

For motors that are not very large, performance can be installed. Then push the motor from the diagonal direction of the motor, and push the two diagonal lines respectively. If the table value changes greatly, it means that the motor has a soft foot, which we call a virtual foot. Sometimes it's just that the gasket under the motor is not firmly padded, and the feeler gauge cannot be inserted.

Even if you find it, it may vibrate! I just happened to find two pumps some time ago, and my weak feet are very big (which is what you call soft feet). The method I used was to put a watch on it and pull it out one by one to see how many there were. Then make adjustments.

After one bolt is loosened and inspected, tighten it again, and then move on to the next one. Check in turn. 4 There is another possibility that the machined surface of the base is not very flat. At this time, the gasket adjustment may be divided into several groups of gaskets instead of one. Try not to exceed 4 gaskets.
