Replacement of the flow meter

In one of our company’s pipelines, a metal tube float flow meter is used to measure flow rates. Since the material in question contains certain insoluble substances, these substances frequently clog the flow meter, resulting in inaccurate flow readings. As this characteristic of the material cannot be changed, we are considering replacing the flow meter in order to obtain accurate flow measurements without the risk of clogging. What types of flow meters can display data on-site without getting clogged frequently? For DN50 pipes, the price of the flow meter should not be too high; is it possible to use a rotameter instead? Please point out any mistakes.
Electromagnetic flowmeters and clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are both suitable
If you don’t want the price to be too high, in my opinion, what about switching to a differential pressure type throttling device? Target flowmeters are recommended for such applications; they are very effective for measuring residues in used oil, crude oil, and similar substances. They require no maintenance, are corrosion-resistant, and immune to interference.
