What to do if coal has a high G value but low coke strength? Could some expert give me some advice? Thank you!
When it comes to coal blending, the strength of coke is evaluated based on the combined effects of the G value and Y value; it is not appropriate to consider only one indicator. Generally, when the Y value of the blending coal is around 17 and the G value is around 85, the strength of the coke produced is more or less the same; however, factors such as ash content and sulfur content also need to be taken into consideration.
The coal rock composition and coke oven operation also need to be taken into account. Additionally, if a large proportion of volatile coal types is included in the coal blend, the presence of many pores can affect the quality of the coke as well
