Rapid determination of coal powder density

Thread Content

I currently have coal powder with a particle size of 149μm (100 mesh), and I need to know its density in order to calculate the settling velocity and residence time of the particles. I tried to measure it using a volumeter and a balance; the density seems to be around 480 kg/m3. I’m not sure if that’s correct – it seems like the calculated value is quite different. A quick and simple method is needed now. Does anyone have any good suggestions? ? Thank you. . .

Hello, we can measure online the concentration and density of coal powder dissolved in water-coal slurry; the results are available within seconds, and the accuracy is very high

Reply to 2# Mingye Technology, thank you. I’m not in engineering; the lab just needs a little of it.
