I’ve seen several sets of safety valves at the outlets of high-pressure liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen pumps, and I think there are issues with their installation. It is installed at normal temperature, with the inlet and outlet welded in place; however, when used at low temperatures, it is difficult to tighten even the threads behind the valve properly, and maintenance becomes challenging. Leakage is likely to occur at the threads at the outlet of the safety valve. To facilitate maintenance, a flange can be added to the liquid discharge pipeline behind the valve
1. The inlet and outlet pipes are at a 90-degree angle; the threads are inserted into the pipes, and the precision of these threads is often insufficient due to them being fitted on-site by the installation company. 2. The threaded connection is modified to a flanged connection.
