Without an inverter, does the power of the already installed and operating centrifugal pump motor remain constant, as indicated on the motor’s nameplate? Is there a relationship between the motor power and pipeline regulation, as well as flow rate? Please advise

The power consumed by the motor is determined by the shaft power, which can be calculated using the performance curve of the centrifugal pump as well as the density and viscosity of the fluid. According to the performance curve of the centrifugal pump, the shaft power varies with flow rate and head; as the flow rate increases, so does the power consumption.
Reply to 4# chinazwr: Does that mean the motor power also changes? Is the power indicated on the nameplate simply the motor power at maximum efficiency? Is it changing too?
Reply to 5# durl: The motor power certainly changes as the flow rate is adjusted via the centrifugal pump’s outlet valve. The shaft power indicated on the nameplate corresponds to the power at a specific operating point; of course, it will change if the pump operates outside that operating point.
Does that mean that reducing data usage can help save electricity?
