Anhui Liuguo Chemical Co., Ltd. is a key state-owned large-scale enterprise that plays a vital role in the production of phosphate fertilizers and is a priority for development. The company was established in December 2000, with Tonghua Group as the main initiator and shareholder. On March 5, 2004, 80 million shares of Class A shares of LiuGuo Chemical were successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The company is located in the Wanjiang Urban Belt, in Tongling City, Anhui Province – the ancient bronze capital of China – and is near the world-famous scenic spot of Huangshan. The company is located along the vital Yangtze River waterway, with a dedicated railway line leading directly to the factory, and road transportation is well-developed in all directions. The company currently has over 1,500 employees and has the capacity to produce 1.2 million tons of high-concentration phosphate fertilizers per year, with annual total revenue of around 3 billion yuan. The 280,000-ton per year synthetic ammonia production project of LiuGuo Chemical is a key project carefully planned by Tonghua Group in order to implement the relevant industrial plans, with the listed company LiuGuo Chemical serving as the main entity behind it. This project was approved for implementation by the authorities in charge of development and reform in Anhui Province, and it was included in the first batch of key construction projects under Anhui Province’s 2009 “861” action plan. The total investment in the project is approximately 2 billion yuan, with completion and operation scheduled for June 2012, giving a construction period of 34 months. The project is located in the Henggang Circular Economy Industrial Demonstration Park in Tongling City, to the northwest of Liuguo Chemical, covering an area of 406 mu. The project uses coal dust as raw material, employs deep cold air separation, as well as advanced domestic pressurized gasification technology for multi-component slurries. It utilizes sulfur-tolerant shift reactions over a wide temperature range, low-temperature methanol washing for desulfurization and decarbonization, and liquid nitrogen washing for the purification of syngas. Advanced ammonia synthesis technology at 15.0 MPa, along with a domestic urea production process based on CO2 stripping, is also adopted. This includes the construction of coal storage, air separation, gasification, shift reaction, purification, syngas compression, ice machines, ammonia synthesis, urea synthesis, as well as the associated utility systems and auxiliary facilities. The implementation of this project is in line with **industrial policies and macro-control policies, as well as Tongling City’s regional economic development plan ; It plays an important role in helping the Tonghua Group Company to extend its industrial chain, further optimize its product structure, and enhance its market competitiveness. At the same time, it facilitates Tongling City’s further adjustment of its industrial structure, promotes energy conservation and emission reduction, and advances the development of a circular economy.
How can Yingde (**) Gas Company get involved in such projects, given that it has not participated in the high-purity ammonia project?
