I’m a beginner. When using Aspen to optimize with multiple operating variables, convergence never occurs, even though the values used are within what seems to be reasonable ranges; I’ve also conducted sensitivity analyses. May I ask everyone, what is the reason for this? From which aspect should I make adjustments? Thank you all.
Does anyone have any information on optimization? Please share it, thanks. Currently, there is only that little optimization material in the Aspen user guide.
When optimizing, try to avoid setting multiple operating variables at the same time. Even in practical operations, one does not go about changing multiple variables to adjust the process. So if doing optimization, it still needs to be done one variable at a time. Of course, when certain quality requirements for the product must be met, multiple design specifications are needed. That’s different from optimization!
