Why do some turbines have two emergency shutdown valves, while those used abroad generally have only one? I would appreciate some guidance from the teachers
This has nothing to do with domestic or imported products; it’s just that the air intake method is different. Many domestic turbines also use single-sided air intake, for example, many of the turbines produced by Qingdao Energy Saving are of this type.
Whether one or two quick-close valves are needed depends on the required steam flow rate. Our turbine, which is a SHENGU NK25/28/25 model, is equipped with just one quick-close valve!
One should be an exhaust check valve, and the other a fast-closing valve that shuts in 0.5 seconds. Our quick-close valves come in these two types.
