What can a high tray temperature in a Texaco gasifier indicate?
Dear experts, what are the reasons for the high temperature of the gasifier tray?
Air leakage/Thinning of refractory bricks/Penetration of the downcomer/Air leakage in the quench ring
The reasons for the high temperature of the gasifier tray are as follows: 1. Thinning of the slag outlet bricks； 2. Downcomer burn-through ； 3. Severe dust accumulation at the pallet area ； 4. Errors in pallet temperature measurement, etc.
The high tray temperature is closely related to the liquid level in the quench chamber; the actual liquid level can be determined based on the tray temperature
The reasons include: clogging of the slag outlet or downcomer, detachment of components inside the quench chamber, a high oxygen-to-coal ratio in the gasifier, a high proportion of central oxygen, breathing in the cone-bottom bricks, and the thinning of the refractory bricks as a result of their reaching the end of their service life – all of these can lead to overheating.
I have a question: when a four-nozzle gasification furnace is in operation, should the quench water cover the downcomer or be below it? Thank you~~
