I would like to ask everyone whether there are any lumps inside the titanium tubes used for the anode feed It’s yellow, and when it’s broken open there’s black stuff inside – what is that substance? In our factory before, that substance would clog the feed hoses of the two separate units, causing fires in the electrolytic cells and resulting in heavy losses. Now, the management doesn’t even know what that substance is. We often have to stop production in order to clean out the deposits in the feed titanium tubes, and we also clean the anode storage tanks; when we open the manholes, we find a lot of deposits inside -
Do you have filters installed on the main inlet pipe for the anode fluid? Are they only on the inlet pipe or also on the anode plates? It would be best to send a photo

Install filter screens at the inlets of each pump at the outlet of the brine storage tank, as well as on the main anode feed pipe. Are your saltwater storage tanks lined with rubber?
This post was last edited by limingshuguang on 2011-3-30 09:21. The refined saltwater storage tank is made of fiberglass, while the anolyte storage tank is made of titanium. There is a filter screen before the brine enters the tank. There are several possible causes for that clumping: 1. Resin coming from the resin tower; 2. The rubber gaskets in the pipes being locally corroded by chlorinated saline, resulting in them falling off and sticking together. (The system is working fine now; I forgot to take a photo at that time.) . )
The first comes from the brine and refined salt water supply pipes, and the second comes from the pipeline conveyed by the anode solution pump. From these two feed pipelines, it can be inferred that the pipes in your factory are likely to be severely aged due to prolonged use. The second point might be due to a problem with your resin catcher; there could be an issue with the pressure drop in the resin column. You mentioned cleaning the anode solution tank; it seems that there are problems with the rubber lining, as well as aging of the pipes and gaskets. How long has it been since you started operating it?

Reply to 6# gaoyingxuan26: The first-phase system has been in operation for 3 years, and during maintenance it was found that the inner side of the gaskets was quite severely aged. However, Phase 2 has only been in operation for a little over a year, and lumps have also been detected, though in smaller quantities. Don’t you have it there? Right on the anode feed pipe. . If there are any, they need to be cleaned up promptly to avoid accidents like the one we had.
Did the gasket fall off because of the PTFE coating?
We have indeed not encountered such a situation here; we only clean the filters on the inlet pipes during the annual maintenance, and in that process we detect some chlorides.
