Due to a decrease in the amount of steam required for production and issues with the generator sets, our plant plans to convert the 180T/h boiler to a 100T/h boiler. Could you please let me know what precautions should be taken?
Just reduce the load, that’s all. The modification of the boiler must be designed by a qualified unit.

The furnace chamber can be made smaller, but other equipment and processes also need to be adjusted accordingly. It must be designed by professionals, a technical improvement plan must be developed, and construction can only proceed after drawings are prepared by a qualified design firm. It’s very troublesome. Reducing the load is more practical.
The drive equipment features variable frequency speed control, and its design has been redone by the manufacturer.
Find a qualified design firm to prepare several alternative plans, combining load reduction with technical upgrades.
