The Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology recently organized experts to evaluate the project on the chemical treatment and comprehensive utilization of silicon tetrachloride, a by-product of polysilicon. The expert panel members involved in the evaluation unanimously agreed that the first domestic system for producing high-purity alkoxysilanes from polysilicon by-products, developed and manufactured by this project team, features automation, safety and controllability, as well as good environmental compatibility, with its technology reaching an internationally advanced level. The high-purity alkoxysilane products produced by the polycrystalline silicon by-product treatment system achieve a purity of over 99.9%, with quality reaching international advanced levels. This device was independently developed by Leshan Kelixin Chemical Co., Ltd., and it effectively solves the problem of utilizing polysilicon by-products.
Let me say this: The Keli Xin project is currently suffering heavy losses; it relies solely on **support to survive
I’d like to say something as well: photovoltaic power generation also results in losses, and it relies on support from various countries.
The development of technology cannot be separated from the actual market, and this is also why many laboratory products in China do not gain market acceptance. I hope that senior scholars and professors will conduct thorough market research before deciding on their research directions, as this will help accelerate the progress of science!
Alkoxysilane? Could LZ be more specific? What exactly is the product? For example, silicon tetrachloride is used to produce vapor-phase silica, which is nanoscale silica dioxide.
Reply 5# chizhongjiao: What LZ mentioned is probably ethyl silicate, just a guess!
Being able to produce ethyl silicate is also a good option. Individuals tend to work with silicone. Many varieties can be used, but only in small quantities.
