Preheating furnace temperature

Today, while driving, the initial temperature of the furnace’s preheating stage was 20–30 degrees higher than usual; there were no significant changes in the other parameters. Please help analyze it together*
I feel that the air flow is too high; when the fuel gas is at normal levels, an excessive air flow results in a lower flame height, which causes the temperature to rise in the first stage.
