Difference between rated and normal

In the specifications of devices that we come across regularly, there are terms such as rated speed and normal speed. So, what exactly do these terms \"normal\" and \"rated\" mean??? For example, in the case of compressors, what are their rated speed and normal speed? Also, what does it mean by the critical speed being around forty? How many critical speeds does a power unit have?
In my understanding, the rated value is the one specified in the design and falls within the normal range. By \"normal\", we mean a range with a maximum and a minimum value; values outside this range are considered abnormal. The maximum and minimum values represent the critical points. A turbine has two critical speeds: the first critical speed and the second critical speed
The rated speed is the ideal condition during design, and it is generally not achievable; the normal speed is the speed at which the equipment operates under normal conditions.
