In the chlor-alkali industry, the concentration of chloride ions in wastewater is very high; what are some effective treatment methods?
This one only uses reverse osmosis for desalination, with the concentrated water being sent for distillation and crystallization.

In the past, the most effective methods for removing chloride ions were the use of anion exchange resins or reverse osmosis, but both required additional external equipment, which posed certain limitations in terms of operation and use. It is difficult to remove chloride ions chemically, as most compounds of chloride ions are highly soluble in water, making it hard to eliminate them.
