Shenhua Baotou methanol-to-olefins plant passes performance assessment

Recently, the Baotou Coal Chemical Branch of China Shenhua Coal-to-Oil Chemical Co., Ltd., in collaboration with our institute, Xinxing New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company, conducted performance evaluations of methanol-to-olefins plants that utilize DMTO technology. The results showed that all technical parameters, including the operating load of the unit, the methanol consumption per ton of olefins, as well as the consumption of catalysts and utility services, met the requirements specified in the contract. 　　As a **pilot project**, the DMTO industrial production facility achieved successful operation upon its first feed in August 2010, entered commercial operation in 2011, and is currently operating at full capacity with stable production.
