If there is pressure, when establishing the liquid level in the carbon scrubber tower, push water into the vaporizer to submerge the furnace bricks.
It is ensured that the vaporization furnace is in a stopped state during initialization; without this interlock, any accidental activation of the initialization button while the furnace is in operation could lead to serious accidents!

The pressure at the outlet of the carbon scrubber is low; this occurs during initialization and when many valves are controlled manually. Additionally, what is a suitable value for this low pressure at the outlet of the carbon scrubber? The temporary value for our unit is set at 0.4 MPa.

The reason for setting this condition is to ensure safety when feeding material into the gasification furnace; if the pressure is high, it indicates that the raw material gas from the operating gasification furnace may be leaking into the furnace that is about to receive material, due to issues such as faulty valves or other problems. It seems to be GE’s safety design philosophy!
