Yesterday, a safety officer from another company said that the spacing between the chemicals and other materials in our warehouse is not sufficient; it should be more than 60 centimeters! I reviewed the two standards I was aware of: 1. Building Design Code: focuses on the safety requirements for liquid storage tanks ; 2. Warehouse fire safety management rules: The spacing requirements apply to ordinary goods, with a minimum distance of 1 meter – there is no solution! Could you please help point out which standard specifies the requirements mentioned above?
Check whether these standards contain relevant regulations: General Rules for the Storage of Commonly Used Chemical Hazards----GB15603-1995; Technical Requirements for the Storage and Maintenance of Flammable and Explosive Goods GB-17914-1999. I’m not sure if I can help you.
What are the hazardous chemicals and other items you mentioned? It is generally stored in accordance with the “five distances” requirements. Ask the safety officer who asked the question where the figure of 60 centimeters comes from
I don’t know what chemicals are stored in your warehouse; only by knowing that can we help you solve the problem properly. The five distances to be considered are: distance from the wall, distance between stacks, distance from columns, distance from lights, and distance from the ceiling. (1) Distance from lights: Lighting fixtures in the warehouse should not exceed 60 watts in power. (2) Distance from the ceiling: It should be at least 50 cm. (3) Distance from the wall: The gap between the wall and the storage area should be at least 50 cm. (4) Distance from columns: A gap of 10–20 cm is required. (5) Distance between stacks: There should be a 10-cm gap between stacks

The five distances refer to the distance from the top, the distance from the light, the distance from the wall, the distance from the column, and the distance from the stack. Inventory items should be stored in categories and in stacks; the area occupied by each stack should not exceed 100 square meters. The distance between stacks should be at least 1 meter, the distance between stacks and walls should be at least 0.5 meters, and the distance between stacks and beams or columns should be at least 0.3 meters. The width of the main passages (the space between stacks) should be at least 2 meters.
