Everyone, I have a work site that is approximately 700 meters away from the control room in a straight line. The signals at that site are measurement signals. Now, there is a need to establish communication with the control room, but the bidding process for the DCS system here has already been completed, and I don’t want any further changes related to business arrangements. Do you have any good solutions?
That work area can use a remote I/O system on-site, which then communicates with the DCS system
If there are computers in both locations and they are on the same local network, using OPC is the most cost-effective option, but it isn’t necessarily the easiest
Add a communication card; during configuration, it is sufficient for the engineers from the DCS manufacturer to send the data required by the central control system in the format specified by that system
OPC and single-mode fiber can both meet the requirements
