There are four ways to comprehensively utilize waste rubber: 1. Tire retreading； 2. Produce recycled rubber ； 3. Produce rubber powder ； 4. Thermal cracking method. However, only the production of recycled rubber achieves the ideal goal of dealing with used tires, accounting for 73–75% of the total amount of recycled rubber; the other three methods account for only 32–27%. As a result, China has become the world’s largest producer of recycled rubber. Affected by the earthquake and nuclear radiation in Japan, imports of recycled rubber from that country have dropped sharply, which has led to rising prices for recycled rubber in the domestic market. This in turn increases the profits of domestic manufacturers of recycled rubber. It is believed that rubber manufacturers with a long-term vision have already recognized this; as a green recycled resource, recycled rubber aligns with the industrial policies aimed at reducing energy consumption and emissions as well as promoting a green economy, and therefore it has a large market potential.
