Are there any requirements for choosing between the two? In what conditions should seamless pipes be used, and in what conditions can welded pipes be used? Please advise!
Is there a seam? – It’s just a matter of the probability of leakage. Generally, sealed pipes are not used for materials that are toxic, corrosive, flammable, explosive, or high-pressure. For the chemical industry, the Pipeline Regulations specify which types of pipes cannot be used. Yes, sewn pipes can be used in many situations. However, the piping used in such projects is complex, and the material management systems of the construction and project owners are not very thorough; it is best to use seamless pipes throughout.
Of course, there is a difference. As a general rule, only medium and high-pressure pipes with a diameter of over 24 inches are allowed to use welded steel pipes, and only one straight weld is permitted. However, for some pipelines operating at low pressures or even at atmospheric pressure, using welded pipes (straight-welded pipes or spiral-welded pipes) can help save on costs. As for the choice between them, in many cases, as long as the material and wall thickness meet the requirements, seamless pipes and welded pipes can generally be used interchangeably

Apart from controlling the pH level of the circulating water, are there any other good methods for preventing corrosion? Thank you
