The production of sulfuric acid can be carried out through dry or wet methods, and there are different ways of classifying these methods as well – some classify them based on the flue gas used in the conversion process, some based on the purification steps, and others based on the method employed for producing sulfuric acid. I would like to ask the experts here: which classification is more accurate?
Before dry conversion, it must be processed in a drying tower.
Distinguishing between dry-process acid production and wet-process acid production refers to whether the flue gas is dry or wet during the conversion process. Purification methods refer only to ways of purifying flue gas, not to methods for producing acid. Generally, in the wet process for acid production, dry purification is used to condense it into acid.
Currently, the semi-dry process is popular for producing sulfuric acid, combining dry and wet methods
