Is it necessary to inject steam at the bottom of every fractionation stripping tower? We use a reboiler at the bottom of the tower to remove hydrogen sulfide as well; what is the difference between these two methods?
Stripping can be carried out using either steam or a reboiler; the difference lies in the stripping medium used – in the case of a reboiler, it is the light components at the bottom of the tower.
