The approaches to the two standards are different. The SYT 0608-2006 standard \"Design and Construction of Large Welded Low-Pressure Storage Tanks\" is basically based on the principles of API620. The NB/T 47003.1-2009 standard was originally formulated for atmospheric pressure storage tanks. For large low-pressure storage tanks, SYT 0608-2006 or API620 can be selected. For amounts below 50,000, the NB/T 47003.1-2009 standard can be applied. The standard for selecting the allowable stress must be followed; they cannot be used interchangeably.
