Discussion on vibration problems?

While inspecting the site, I noticed that the horizontal vibration of the equipment was usually greater than its vertical vibration. I asked an experienced worker in the factory, who said it was a normal phenomenon. However, I don’t think it should always be the case that horizontal vibration is greater than vertical vibration; it’s possible that vertical vibration could be greater than horizontal vibration. I wonder if anyone here has encountered similar situations – please share your insights! Additionally, when one of our horizontal split pumps was tested, its horizontal vibration exceeded the acceptable level by 3 times, while its vertical vibration was within normal limits； When the motor is running, the horizontal vibration exceeds the limit, while the vertical vibration is very low; there are no obvious abnormal noises from the bearings.
For horizontal vibration, it is recommended that you check for any looseness or similar issues
If the horizontal vibration is high, check the dynamic balance of the rotating components; if the vertical vibration is high, check whether the foundation bolts are loose. This is usually the case under normal conditions.
After dynamic balancing our Roots blowers, they still exhibit significant horizontal vibration but little vertical vibration when in operation.
