I would like to ask at what solubility product values for various precipitates, anti-scaling agents used in reverse osmosis can no longer prevent scaling, and it becomes necessary to reduce the recovery rate. Examples include calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, silicon dioxide, etc. Thank you all
Each case must be handled on its own merits; it cannot be explained in just a few words.
It’s not the case that once the flow rate per unit of time drops to the level permitted by one’s limits, action needs to be taken. If the membrane pores are severely blocked, taking action at that point only makes things worse, as it’s already too late.
