Monitoring and remote operation of waste heat boilers: Where should the PLC be placed?

The waste heat boiler requires monitoring and operation on-site, and the main control room located 500 meters away also needs to be able to monitor and operate it. Is it more appropriate to place the PLC on-site or in the main control room? How can it be made more economical and practical?
Build a separate control room on-site (it doesn’t need to be very large), and then transmit the signals to the DCS via communication interfaces such as RS485 (the interfaces must be compatible). As for displaying on the DCS, it requires cooperation between the PLC (which provides communication and parameters) and the DCS manufacturer to achieve this.
