Can Aspen open files from higher versions?

I’m using 2006; is it possible to open V7.1 files?
Open the BKP file in Notepad and change 23 to 20 at the top
I don’t know what numbers have been changed in other versions; I’ve only used 2006 and 7.1, and they work fine. 7.1 does not need to be changed; it is backward compatible

It can be opened, but it seems like all the data inside is gone
There shouldn’t be any, right? What data do you mean there is no more of? Floating shares? The input parameters?
Reply to 7# comic3344: The physical property parameters are missing, as are the results obtained from calculating those properties; only the input parameters are available
I opened 7.1 using 2006, so it should be fine; I’m not sure about your issue... Sorry
