Regarding the issue of level sensors/switches: The current state of the material to be monitored is as follows – it is in powder form, contains moisture, has a certain viscosity, and may adhere to the inner walls of the container. It is stored inside a cylindrical container, with feeding taking place at the top of the container; it is necessary to determine the height of the material. Has anyone encountered a similar situation and knows which level sensor/switch would be suitable in such cases? Those with successful experience, please offer some guidance. Thank you!
The level switch is used to detect the material condition at the bottom of the receiving bin section (diaphragm type)
If you only need to simply control the high and low material levels in order to save costs, a level switch can be used (but care must be taken to prevent the probe from getting clogged with material). If real-time level monitoring is required, I recommend choosing a radar level gauge (for cost savings, opt for a domestic 26G radar level gauge with a universal flange) ; Conversely, you can choose a product). Experts upstairs suggested using guided wave radar for measurement; it is indeed possible to do so, but it is important to note that since loading and unloading take place from the top, this will create tension on the cables, increasing the risk of them breaking.
