Dear sea friends, how do you handle the wastewater from the methanol conversion and synthesis boilers that use coke oven gas?
Due to the presence of certain chloride ions and impurities such as foam in the boiler water, the wastewater is generally discharged into sewers; it’s not very useful, as the volume of wastewater discharged is usually quite small!
It can be sent back to the deaerator for treatment
Our water quality is constantly failing to meet standards, and the amount of waste discharged is high. I wonder, fellow sea users, does your waste heat boiler discharge a large amount of waste? How hard is the boiler feed water? What level should the chloride concentration in the boiler water be controlled at?
Isn’t heat recovery from continuous wastewater discharge better?
Our continuous wastewater discharge outlet generates low-pressure steam at 0.2 Mpa in the wastewater buffer tank; regarding the substandard water quality on the fourth floor, should we consider coordinating between continuous wastewater discharge and intermittent discharge?
Hardness is below 400 MG/L, with residual chlorine at 0.5–3.5%
Ours are all discharged into the drain; generally, they have a high salt content

Reply to 9# Awakening: A long queue is better. It can generally effectively reduce the salt content in water and steam. Maintain water quality at acceptable levels.
