Dear seniors in coking production and equipment maintenance, in our company’s 5.5-meter pusher-type coking ovens, at the beginning of operation the coal loading plate became bent below the rear baffle, arching upward in that area. After the problem occurred, counterpressure using jacks was applied, which yielded some results, but the issue reappeared several times, severely affecting the removal of coke and coal loading. Plans are in place to replace the coal support plates, but it is first necessary to understand the cause of the bending and develop appropriate measures.
