I’m not familiar with registered engineers, and I would like to ask what exactly the role of such engineers is So what is its function? I’d really like to know. Whoever can provide more detailed information would be great. Thank you
A certificate, similar to those for the CET-4 and CET-6, only it’s a bit more difficult and more useful.
By passing the **-level exam, one can obtain an **-level engineer professional qualification certificate; it is similar in nature to teacher qualification certificates and medical practitioner qualification certificates, though it is a bit more difficult. I’ve heard that once you pass it, you can earn money even without doing any work at a design institute.
Reply to 2# hdy0565: So what’s the difference between it and an intermediate engineer? Or what are the differences in their roles? Thank you
Reply to 3# Gu Zi: Hmm, is it the same as becoming a senior engineer five years after graduating from an engineering program? Are they still two different things? Thank you
Reply to 5# Titleless: It’s different; intermediate engineers don’t need to take an exam – they can be evaluated as long as they meet the requirements, but this position requires an exam. Haha, that’s the only impression I have as well.
In my personal opinion, it’s about aligning with international standards. The advantage is that it facilitates unified management and enhances the professional awareness, knowledge, and skills of individuals and the industry. **The professional title evaluation system has certain flaws; the practice-based system has been in the works for many years and is now either in place or already being implemented. However, the current implementation in some industries or fields still falls short of expectations, which can only be attributed to Chinese characteristics.
Reply to 5# Titleless: What was said below is completely correct. Generally, those with a degree in engineering can be promoted to assistant engineer after working in a related position for one year, and to engineer after four years. This certificate may be useful within one’s own company or province, but not elsewhere. Going there may not be useful, unless the company you work for is a **well-known enterprise. In any case, this certificate cannot be compared to a professional qualification certificate for registered engineers.
Reply to 9# Gu Zi: Thank you so much. With your help, I’ve learned a lot. If I decide to take this exam, what do I need to prepare? In other words, what are the requirements to apply for this? Thank you so much!
Reply to 10# Titleless: First, you need to meet the eligibility requirements (you can look it up online; there’s detailed information available, and you can also consult the registration agency for any further questions). Once you meet those requirements, you can proceed to register for the exam. You start with the basic exams, and only after passing those can you take the more specialized exams. Grades are never invalidated.
