In our butadiene recovery system for production facilities, a liquid ring compressor is selected according to the equipment parameters specified in the process package; the inlet pressure is at atmospheric level, and the required pressure difference is 0.5 MPa. I don’t have much experience with such compressors being used in butadiene recovery systems – typically, reciprocating compressors and screw compressors are used instead. In your process, the inlet pressure is 1 bar, with a pressure difference of 0.5 MPa; in other words, the outlet pressure is 6 bar. The pressure ratio of a liquid ring compressor should not be this high! The outlet pressure is generally between 2 and 3 bar. I suggest you use a piston machine or a screw machine.
