There is a small threaded hole on the lid of the steel manhole; it’s quite tiny. There is also one on the flange ring of the manhole flange. What is the purpose of these? The medium inside the equipment is toxic; is it necessary to check whether the replacement has been carried out completely? Are there any guidelines that address this issue?????
That is the leak detection hole for checking the seal integrity of the gasket

Remove the signal hole using a set screw or a gasket flange.

Reply to 4# wanglei19850823: The holes for the set screws used for disassembly are usually located between the two bolt holes, and the set screw bolts are generally installed on top. It is likely that this threaded hole is a signal hole on the gasket flange; it can generally be sealed with butter, or a signal pipeline can be connected to it.
I agree with the opinion from the second floor: the leak detection holes on the gasket flange should not be used as lifting screw holes, nor should they be blocked
