What are the advantages and disadvantages of using an expansion oil tank to control normal pressure and slight negative pressure?
Actually, there is no requirement for a slight negative pressure; as long as the oil temperature, bearing temperature, oil return flow in the aircraft frame, and the exhaust gas from the oil-gas separator are all within normal ranges, it doesn’t matter whether there is a slight positive or negative pressure. It’s just that maintaining a slight negative pressure is preferable. There are relevant posts on the forum
