What should be done if the pressure behind the valve is negative and the software cannot perform calculations? Which type of valve should be used?
If it is negative pressure, then the unit is definitely gauge pressure. You need to convert this pressure to absolute pressure by adding one standard atmosphere, which is approximately 0.1 MPa. Once the gauge pressure has been converted to absolute pressure, you can enter the resulting absolute pressures before and after the valve into the software. Make sure to select absolute pressure as the unit in the software as well, so that the calculations can be performed.

Just the differential pressure is sufficient, whether it is negative pressure or not.
