Our unit currently has an axial flow fan of model T35-3.15.A. The management has requested that this fan be installed on the roof of the building. Is it possible to do so? Does the motor base inside the fan need to be remanufactured and installed?
It would be great to have installation instructions for the T35-3.15.A. Thank you all**.
This type of axial flow fan is normally installed on the wall; if it is installed on the roof, the motor is likely to be perpendicular to the ground. The base does not need to be modified, but rain protection is necessary, requiring the installation of automatic louvers, and it can only blow air outward. The installation instructions provided in the T35-11 axial fan manual are very simple and of little practical use.
By fixing the axial flow fan to an iron plate, it can be placed on the roof, but it is necessary to fabricate a \"shrimp-shaped connector\" from iron sheet or install a canvas air duct with reinforcing ribs for the axial flow fan, in order to connect it to the roof’s air duct openings. The rainproofing issue raised upstairs also needs to be considered.
It is better to install it on the wall; this type of fan has deep groove ball bearings on both sides, which means it cannot withstand axial forces. If installed on the roof, its service life will be affected.
If the density of the gas inside is greater than that of air, is it necessary to connect ventilation ducts to the bottom in order to ensure proper ventilation?
