How can one determine whether there is a blockage at the slag outlet of a Texaco gasifier, and what are the specific values? At what synthetic pressure difference can it be considered that the slag outlet is blocked?
There is a slag outlet pressure difference, which can be seen at a glance on the DCS. Also, if you’re not sure, subtract the pressure in the gasification furnace from the pressure in the quench chamber.
