I have been working for only a short time, and recently I encountered a task that required performing flexible pipe calculations and designing N-shaped compensators. The longest straight pipe section in my system is 57 meters long, and it is made of stainless steel pipes with a diameter of φ27X1. Does the book mean that a piping system refers to combining all the pipes in a system and considering them as one? Should we pick out the longest one first and calculate it? Thank you all so much! We need to check the temperature and pressure; if the piping system is taken into account as well, a simplified calculation will not be accurate. Could we set some conditions for the piping equipment?

Personally, I think this pipe doesn’t need to be considered a small-diameter pipe; at normal temperatures, as long as there is some flexibility in the pipe due to bends, there should be no problem

Is the calculation of pipeline flexibility complicated? I wonder if it can be done just by looking up a table?
