What are the Hard Groove index and damm test?

The Hardgrove Grindability Index is an indicator that measures how easily coal can be ground; it is used when determining the power consumption of coal grinding mills. I can’t remember the exact technical term for it – it’s something like the grindability index... em... that’s probably what it’s called
