I’m looking at the drawings of a pressure vessel (tank); its empty weight is 20,000 kg, and its erection weight is 40,000 kg. What exactly does the installation weight include?
The term \"empty weight\" needs no explanation – it should refer to the net weight of the equipment! Erection weight should refer to the mass taken into account for the civil engineering foundation! Equivalent to the maximum weight during operation! Fill it completely with water, plus filler and so on!
No, the drawings also show weights for \"operating\" and \"full of water\" – why is the weight of \"erection\" so much higher than that of \"empty\"?
