The amount of corrosion inhibitor injected into any pipeline refers to the amount before dilution; the ppm value of the injected corrosion inhibitor indicates the molar ratio. Regardless of the degree of dilution, the ratio of the amount of corrosion inhibitor injected to the flow rate of gas in the pipeline remains constant.
The amount in ppm refers to the quantity of the pure substance that is injected; regardless of the ratio in which it is mixed with water, when we talk about a certain amount in ppm, we are referring to the undiluted corrosion inhibitor
It must be undiluted; only in this way can there be a consistent standard. Otherwise, with different levels of dilution, different injection amounts would be required
It generally refers to the amount of corrosion inhibitor; the manufacturer will provide recommended amounts. But in the end, it is adjusted based on the effect of the corrosion inhibitor injection.
It’s of course the amount before dilution. Once the amount is determined, the more you dilute it, the more diluted solution will be injected into the system.
