Connection issues for pipes of different materials and diameters

This post was last edited by Wild_wing on 2011-4-25 09:55. There is a need to connect 27*3mm carbon steel pipes with copper pipes that have a wall thickness of 3/4 inch and 1mm in thickness; no suitable connectors can be found for this purpose. Do any of you experts have any good suggestions?
Carbon steel is welded using carbon steel flanges, while copper pipes are welded using copper flanges; the flanges are then connected together with appropriate gaskets, and thus the problem is resolved.
Flange connections are almost universal; simply fabricate flanges with bolt holes of consistent size, and the connection will work.
Stainless steel and carbon steel can now be welded directly. With the advancement of welding technology, I believe carbon steel and copper pipes can also be welded directly; if that’s not possible, then the simplest method of flange connection should be used.
Flange connections are still the most commonly used. Of course, it’s also a good option to have an machining workshop in the factory for custom solutions
