Our plant uses a dual-furnace dual-tower process to produce industrial naphthalene. The phenol oil obtained from the top of the initial distillation tower is of satisfactory quality, and all parameters are normal. However, in the naphthalene tower, the pressure and temperature at the top and middle sections of the tower fail to increase, which prevents the industrial naphthalene from meeting the required standards. The oil obtained from the bottom of the tower is of good quality; by increasing the temperature and pressure at the bottom of the tower, these values can be raised. But as a result, the high-boiling-point substances move upward significantly, leading to output from the tower top that does not meet the standards. This problem has persisted for several days now – could anyone with expertise please offer some guidance? It’s really frustrating

The problem has been resolved; it seems that the raw materials fed into the tower were not of high quality, with too many improper combinations and too little of the light components. After a large amount of liquid from the bottom of the tower was removed on site, things gradually returned to normal
